Join us on Sunday the 16th of November for our Fall concert, “Anonymous – the Most Prolific Composer in History“. Throughout history there have been many reasons that a piece of music is credited to Anonymous: Members of the Royal Family and the Nobility that did not want to be known; Composers that wrote in the style of another more famous composer and who wanted their music to sell if it was confused with the other’s work; Only 1 remaining source where the composer is unreadable or the composer was left off for some reason; etc. This season we explore a selection of music ranging from the late Medieval period through the end of the Renaissance period which will be played on a variety of replicas of early instruments, from recorders and viols to sackbuts and lyzards, as well as sung by our very own vocal group, Lauda Vox. We hope that you will be able to join us for what is sure to be an afternoon filled with lovely music.
The concert is free, but we encourage donations which help fund our group’s operating costs.
